Establishment:

Amul Industries started in the year 1972, i.e. , before 33 years, when printing industries were more limited to letter press , i.e. , Treadle Machines, Lithographic and further to Offset Printing only and that too only on papers. Day by Day new machines, new systems and the new stock other than paper were developed for printing in Western countries and India started to think for future. We were one of them, we thought the system which is prevailing will be either outdated or will have limited presence for limited job.     We took challenge and developed on our own, Screen printing ink, Flexographic Ink and Gravure Ink for Paper, Plastics, HDPE and P.P.  On account of our friendly outlook, with these Printing Units, we came to understand their technical problems, due to different types of machines, different type of printing system and lack of technical and trained staff. We tried to solve their problems personally and it benefited to the printers and to us also to understand the machines, actual requirement of the type and quality of the ink and adjustment of the ink & machines for better results. Everything was going smoothly, but , we thought this is not enough. Future is not going to wait for any body. New development, new requirement, new problems were taken for granted by us and we concentrated on R & D – all indigenously and our own technical know how. We brought this to the notice of our friendly customers and requested for their help, which will be beneficial to them sooner or later. Their help augmented our zeal and we started with packaging industries, and successfully we started Paper flexo Ink (Solvent Base Ink) for Packaging Industries.

Still we were not satisfied, due to development all around the world we did not wanted to be left behind and thought of developing Ink without solvent and that also liquid Flexographic and Gravure. Our Friendly Customers were ready to help us, because of their cost factor of solvent, uneven printing and also unhygienic working conditions. It was our own idea to work on Water Base Liquid Ink and we started working on it. After a year long trial and error, and kind support of our customers to take trial, we successfully put our own product in the market “Water Base Flexo Ink”  for all types of Paper Printing systems. This created a market. Customers from all over India approached with their printing problems for all printing systems. We tried to understand it personally and suggested some changes in printing system. Adjustments in machines and printing ink , amendment in machine and ink. All these experiences helped us both mechanically and chemically. This resulted in technically successful Water Base Paper Flexo Ink. Now ‘solvent base paper flexo ink’ became matter of past. It affected the economy so far the consumption of solvent and its wastage was concerned. Better Printing result from the beginning to end, and healthy working condition for the printers. But, the world is so fast developing that the individual requirement is changing day by day. This has forced us to work hard and made us concentrate on Water Base Ink for other printing systems. We were devoted to “karm” and continued to work, and the latest result is the WATER BASE LETTER PRESS PASTE INK (for treadle) and WATER BASE SCREEN INK for paper and marking ink. All these are due to Grace of God, kind help of friendly customers by way of trials and encouragement, and lastly to our sincere approach to understand the problem and the effort to solve it irrespective of small or big units. In the end we would like to say that our zeal to work hard and forward look to development is not limited to our customers who bring their problems and their requirements to us, but also to give something new to the industry to survive both our customers and us in a changing world.

We cordially invite your suggestions and we assume you to come to us personally to find out the road of progress or contact our technical consultant Prakash Patel.
